Welcoming you to my online shop, Buckle and Fawn. 

I'm Claire and I'm a massive fan of all things retro. I've always been a bit of a magpie and loved collecting things from as young as I can remember! But I think I really fell in love with 1970's when I began my degree in 2004, where I studied Fashion, Art, Film and Design - the 70's being my favourite decade in all of the subjects I covered. For my 21st birthday, my other half presented me with my first 70's print, my beloved 'Tina' by J H Lynch; and she has always taken pride of place in the centre of our home ever since. This was the turning point for us, from having a few 60's and 70's pieces, to having an entire house that reflected our love of the era's. 

I was recently in-between freelance contracts and found myself yearning for a job that I could be really passionate about; and importantly, a role that could work around my family-life. I'd always wanted my very own shop... but with a very boisterous 2 year old charging around, I never dreamt it would be possible at this moment in time. Then, after a wee ponder, Buckle and Fawn was born!

All products on this site have been hand-sourced by me, to bring a little retro love into your own home too. The majority of products available are of age so their appearance will reflect a pre-loved beauty. All descriptions are honest and prices reflect the item being sold.
